In last decade its become from mere novelty to a absolute necessity… days are gone when good old user manual did the job. Its makes a big difference when user doesn’t have to use it. What I mean by it is, if user needs a manual to use your product or service that mean obviously you didn’t make the product user-friendly which means you missed out the major ingredient which will make your product not just stand out but actually make your customer fall in love with you and your product. A product which will stand the test of time and offcourse will make you a fortune the best example I can think of right on top of head is Apple and offcourse Steve jobs. User experience is the key to raving fans and multi million dollar company.

Design vs content

There is been a lot of debate on which one is superior and holds more importance. In my opion they have to co exist. They are all important parts of a beautiful creation. Content supplies juice while design provides texture and shape to the fruit its all part of the same game. Well creation exist with only one of this elements. I have to conclude with out proper content there is no design with out it hence creations ceases

When economy is down and there is financial confusion every single field you can think off.. the week links in the process shows up significantly resulting in jobloss and layoffs.. basically what i mean by weak links is “safe players”… there is nothing wrong playing safe but in hard times like this you will be vunerable. playing safe is part of today’s corporate culture going to office 9:00 Am and getting back 6:00 Pm is become a common standard in most of the corporate houses today. I am not saying we should be spending more time in office, all i am saying the mindset of safe playing, denied pro activity will lead you to layoff and jobless situations. Practically when a office is full of pro active employees there wont be a situation of layoffs. In today business world making money is directly propotionate to our efforts so basically if you are not happy with what you are earning right now you probably shouldnt be happy with your work either.

Hardwork pays off.. may have been true for many years but as we have evolved into more competative world hard work is not going to do the job. Hardwork will pay off but you will end up feeling like a donkey end of the day….. but try smart work… use the muscles in your brain and do what you supposed to do today and see the results.

If you are smart employee you will never have to go to board room to get layed off..

Doesnt this statement apply to Anit Virus softwares, think about how does a anti virus work… it actually stops or points you out any malicious software which might harm your PC that sounds like “Prevention” is in it… offcourse its got the capability to destroy that virus once detected. But imagine a software once detecting a virus actually traces back exactly where it came from and puts a stop to it.. its possible or not its not at all questions, i totally believe anything in the internet world is possible we might require few computer geeks and tons of coffee to make this a realty. the question remains? does everyone want it…?

Commercial artist Vs Non Commercial artist

Commercial Artist is someone who does art for main purpose of remuneration and creates art according to what the client wants and delivers the same with all the required asthetics and passion. On the other hand Non Commercial artists are people who create art out of passion, with out any expectation of remuneration or rewards.

But it doesnt mean commercial artist doesnt have passion in art or real artist dont have expectation for rewards. the intensity of Commerce differs

Using Shortcuts Saves Times, Wait a Minute !!!

Stop !!! before you drift off in another direction, Shortcuts for success in real life is not recommendable, but when it comes to desktop production its a proven fact that using shortcuts via keyboards in any software seems to be the fastest way and most efficient way for working on a desktop PC or a laptop, saving you time and keeping your creativity flowing. Many might argue that using mouse isnt a problem for them but try shortcuts with mouse you will surely increase you speed by alteast 200%. ever single time you move your mouse from point A to B there are few seconds spent which mounts up to a great deal of time not only that, these delays from point A to B might surely obstruct your creativity and efficency. I am not completely saying mouse is useless, a combination of mouse and shortcuts are like Samurai and his swords…!!!

This is unbelievable, admist of all this human wars around the world, there are these cyber wars we have to face, one of which is keeping all the web designers scratching their heads, is it worth it or should there be some standards posed on these browser building companies to keep in sync with industry standards so that we can stop scratching our heads and start building some awesome site instead of worrying about cross browser compatibilty and sh**t like that.

Come on it makes no sense to make us struggle ! dont you agree designers

All may not agree but creativity is a part of human DNA, every single moment lived by every single soul in this planet is always creatively designing something, for some it might be just a thought, it might be creativity in cooking, with out our knowledge this particular attribute keeps working in your brain all the time. now how many people can turn that into career is questionable. as it takes concetrated effort real life dedication to turn something into career. the worst part of this sitution is, you would seen all those headless advertsing with actually no real sense in them. ya all those are results of a business owners trying their creativity in marketing which needs a specialist to handle, even though creativity is present in everybody, its only fair to actually let designers do their job and business owners do theirs. obviously concentrated efforts has got it own quality. Just let us do what we do the best…

There is been a lot talking about the new release from Apple the I-Phone 3Gs there is been a lot of news about heating problem in the new i phone. what i dont understand is how can Apple have loose ends like that, being a fanatic fan of Apple product i am little disappointed.

July 31st Deadline for NASA Project

There is a interesting project put forth by NASA. Basically they have weekly notes made by rocket scientist Wernher Von Braun from the fist director of NASA’s Marshall Spaceflight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, NASA wants public to come out concepts for using these weekly notes for academic and research purpose. the idea is to use this information from history and learn a great deal about management side of NASA technology obstacles faced and other priceless information. so if you think you know what information architecture is if you understand user interfacing, bottom line, Challenge for your geekier side.
